On February 8th, our members met at the Rathaus Bischofsheim in Maintal. The agenda included the decision-making on the 2023 budget and two exciting presentations.
Before the formalities started, the attendees heard a lecture by Tim Treis, the spokesperson of the Association of Organic Farming in Hesse. He introduced their work and also talked about organic farming in general. He then answered questions from those present.
Next, Daniel Schneider introduced himself as campaign manager of the state association for the 2023 state election. He presented the current timetable for the election campaign and also addressed strategic questions. There was a lively exchange between him and those present.
Joachim Nickel presented the 2022 accountability report, the 2023 budget and the 2023-2027 medium-term financial programming. The budget was then adopted unanimously. In addition, members were informed of an innovation in the Executive Board: Viola Haßdenteufel has resigned as spokeswoman. In her place, Emily Bernatzky was elected spokeswoman at the last meeting of the district board.
Two new faces were welcomed at the meeting: Mareike Jäger and Andreas Saakel. As district management, they look forward to the upcoming events and to getting in touch with the members.
