Promoting climate resilience – driving innovation

– Green Main-Kinzig in conversation with the Hanau-Gelnhausen-Schlüchtern Chamber of Industry and Commerce

On 01.03.2022, members of the district and parliamentary committee of the Green Main-Kinzig met with Dr. Gunther Quidde, Managing Director of the Hanau-Gelnhausen-Schlüchtern Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Reiner Bousonville, chairman of the Green Group in the district council, welcomed the establishment of the CCI Working Group on Climate Change. “Let us take our cooperation on rail transport as an example in 2021 and work together to strengthen the climate resilience of the companies in the district and to drive the transformation to competitive sustainability also of the medium-sized economy”.

Ahmet Cetiner, spokesman for the district board of the Greens and entrepreneurs in the district said: “We would like to intensify the exchange with the Chamber of Commerce on companies that already produce sustainably or align their corporate strategy sustainably and would like to seek local discussions together with the Chamber of Commerce”.

Maria Heider, also a member of the district board, inquired about the direct and indirect impact of the war on companies in the Main-Kinzig district. #Ukraine and sanctions #Russia. Dr Quidde was pleased with the stimulating conversation and expressed his support for "the Greens continuing the open and unbiased dialogue with our companies".
