New elections and amendment of the statutes

KMV-21-11-2022

On November 21st, our members met in the village community house in Gelnhausen Hailer. The agenda of the meeting included a by-election of the board of directors and the resolution of some amendments to the statutes and the contribution regulations for elected representatives.

However, before the formalities started, those present heard a short speech by Mahfooz Malik, a candidate from the district association Offenbach Land for the 2023 state election. He reported on the major challenges that the Greens will have to face in the coming years and what his solutions to them look like.

Since Maria Heider had left the district board in October, the members had the task of filling a new female board position. Emily Benatzky from Gelnhausen stood for election. The student is already chairwoman of the Green Youth Gelnhausen and was unanimously elected to the district board by those present.

Joachim Nickel presented the amendments to the articles of association resulting from the amendments to the articles of association adopted this year. The changes to the contribution regulations for elected representatives are essentially a stipulation of agreements already in force. Officially, the order does not apply until the beginning of the new legislative period of the district council in 2026. Furthermore, the report of the auditor and the auditor was read and the board of directors was relieved of the burden of the general meeting.

The meeting was also the last with Mareike Forchheim as district managing director, who will leave the position at the end of the year. The board used the event to thank her for her work. Mareike thanked the board and the members for their trust and good cooperation and shared some insights and experiences from recent years with those present.

The entire event was streamed and can be viewed afterwards on our YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/Nen1o4jgHao
