23-year-old from \u201cDie PARTEI\u201d becomes part of the district parliamentary group \/ \u201cI look forward to working together\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parliamentary group of the Greens Main-Kinzig is growing: \"We are pleased that Silja Voigt, a member of the district parliament, is working as a trainee in our group\", said Reiner Bousonville, Viola Ha\u00dfdenteufel and Jakob M\u00e4hler, the group's bureau. At the most recent Group meeting, Silja Voigt was officially welcomed by the Group Bureau as the Group Hospitant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The 23-year-old Gelnh\u00e4userin has been sitting in the district council for \u2018Die PARTEI\u2019 for the first time since the beginning of the parliamentary term: \u201cWith my party, \u201cDie PARTEI\u201d, I was able to achieve the first mandate for the district council\u201d, Voigt is pleased. However, she is the only Member of the Party to be represented there: \u201cFor this reason, however, there is a lack of appropriate know-how. For me, it is an opportunity to work together with the Greens.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, she wants to bring young ideas and wishes into the circle: \"Youth is often neglected in politics. I would like to address this problem together with the representatives of the Green Youth and make local politics more accessible to young people as well.\u201d The large proportion of young people in the Green Group makes this possible: \"I hope for strong opposition work and that we can bring many important issues together on the agenda. There is much to learn for me, especially when it comes to dry parliamentarism. The Green Group has supported me there from the outset. As a small bonus, I will also be able to give up my individual seat behind the AfD and move to the Greens,\" Voigt concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Hessian municipal order, in order to form a parliamentary group, at least two members are required; accordingly, Silja Voigt is represented as a non-attached member in the district council. \"Non-attached MEPs can work with a political group as part of an inspection and thus, of course, benefit from all the advantages that a political group offers\", explain Bousonville, Ha\u00dfdenteufel and M\u00e4hler. \"Together with Silja Voigt, we are creating a young faction with many new faces, which makes working more exciting and multi-faceted.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
