Both the <strong>State Executive Board of Hesse<\/strong> as well as the outgoing <strong>District Board of Directors<\/strong> commended his commitment to financial stability and structural development of the structure. <em>\u201cJoachim Nickel laid the foundations for our work today with foresight and a sense of responsibility \u2013 his commitment was indispensable\u201d<\/em>, stressed the <strong>Chairman of the district Anja Zeller<\/strong> in her speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By a large majority, the members present elected the <strong>new Board of Directors<\/strong>, which will guide the fate of the district association in the next two years:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Beate Boege-Sonnek<\/strong>\u00a0(Treasurer) from Bad Orb<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Anja Zeller<\/strong>\u00a0from Hanau<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Philip Schinkel<\/strong>\u00a0from Bad Orb<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Christine Dr\u00f6\u00dfler-Utecht <\/strong>from Rodenbach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Steve Euler<\/strong>\u00a0from Bad Soden-Salm\u00fcnster<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Matthias Kuponiyi B\u00f6ff<\/strong>\u00a0from Brachttal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The district board is supplemented by the group presidents of the Greens Main-Kinzig<strong> Mahwish Iftikhar<\/strong> and the spokespersons of the Green Youth Main-Kinzig, <strong>Luise Schn\u00fcrer and Lennart H\u00e4ring<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The newly elected board of directors is faced with the task of <strong>Climate and social issues<\/strong> to put the district association in the focus of the public debate \u2013 especially in view of the upcoming <strong>Local elections on 15 March 2026<\/strong>. <em>\u201cToday we start with a clear mission: to make the Main-Kinzig-Kreis ecological, fair and sustainable. We will promote this in the coming months with an offensive campaign for green solutions on the ground.\u201d<\/em>, explained <strong>Anja Zeller<\/strong> after the election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting also marks the beginning of a <strong>strategic reorientation<\/strong>, which are on <strong>Citizen participation, climate protection and affordable housing<\/strong> set.
