Mahwish Iftikhar from Nidderau and Philip Schinkel from Bad Orb were elected to the top of the list.\u00a0<br><br>Mahwish Iftikhar, spokeswoman for diversity policy on the state board of the Greens in Hesse, who has been active in local politics for many years and chairwoman and managing director of the Greens' parliamentary group in the district council, has now also been elected as the top candidate. In her speech, she stressed: \u201cI am concerned with a policy that takes everyone with it and clearly combines environmental responsibility with social justice.\u201d She is particularly committed to work, democracy and the fight against social inequality.<br><br>Philip Schinkel, chairman of the parliamentary group in the town council of Bad Orb and member of the district board, completes the double leadership. In his introduction, he emphasized: \u2018Climate protection, social justice and the strengthening of child and youth work directly affect the everyday life of the people in the Main-Kinzig district.\u2019 He announced that he was particularly committed to improving the opportunities for children and young people to participate.<br><br>\u2018Our list shows: We start closed and with fresh vigor.
