\"The care associations that take over the care for the pact for the afternoon must be sufficiently financed,\" says Matthias Zach, spokesperson for education policy of the Green district parliamentary group. The basis is a presentation by the debtor Winfried Ottmann, according to which the care clubs per child 350 euros each for the morning–<\/strong> as well as for afternoon care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018As part of the pact for the afternoon, the care services are provided by the district centre for child, youth and family assistance (ZKJF) on the one hand, and also by care associations on the other.\u2019 The ZKJF is responsible for the care of a total of four schools that have already joined the pact for the afternoon or full day: \u201cAssociations in the other schools take over the important care of children and should also be sufficiently funded in this context.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Green parliamentary group, the planned 700 euros per child and year are not sufficient: \u201cFor this reason, we wrote to the care associations and asked several questions. Among other things, what amount of grants would be necessary to enable the tasks to be carried out without deficits\", says Zach. The district parliamentary group would also like to know how many children are currently in care, what the actual costs per child are and what subsidies are paid by school authorities or the municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"In addition, we had not considered the planned 60 euros as parental contributions for morning care to be lawful,\" adds the school policy spokesman: \u2018For the Land of Hesse has made it clear that morning care must be free of charge. The submission of the debt appointee Winfried Ottmann, who introduced such parental contributions, was therefore referred to the Main and Finance Committee and the Education Committee and has been discussed there ever since. With a second submission, the district now wants to reimburse the parental contributions to the care associations if they pass this on to the parents. For us, this is a clear sign that the debtor has made a mistake here, which he is now correcting,\" says Zach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ultimately, it must be clear \u2018that the care associations need sufficient funding and the backing of the circle in their important work. Immature funding proposals that go beyond reality are more likely to lead to a loss of confidence in politics.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The district parliamentary group is therefore looking forward to the feedback from the care associations: \"Next Wednesday, the Main and Finance Committees and the Education Committee will meet again on this issue. Then, hopefully, we will also receive answers from the debt harvester,\" Zach concludes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
