According to Ringel, the report sheds light on the most important points that could increase the attractiveness of the local transport connection to and from Bruchköbel: A denser clock, additional stops and the inclusion of the currently unused connection of Hanau Nord in the industrial area Fliegerhorst.

It is not comprehensible to the Greens why the report describes a direct connection from Bruchköbel to Frankfurt as ‘unrealistic because of the already busy routes’. Since, Ringel suspects, the expert reports have probably questioned the statements of RMV and DB too little.

Especially in the summer, due to the construction work between Frankfurt and Bad Vilbel, numerous trains to central Hesse were once again regularly operated between Frankfurt and Hanau. The operator is the Hessische Landesbahn, which will also serve the Bruchköbeler line from December. Why, the Greens ask themselves, does the RMV not run these trains to and from Friedberg?

The report also refers to the construction of the north-mainland S-Bahn. As a result, the line from Hanau to Frankfurt East will be expanded on four tracks, regional trains will be replaced by S-Bahn trains and thus routes will be freed up.

The Greens find the proposal of the experts to continue the future north-mainland S-Bahn from Hanau via Bruchköbel to Nidderau charming. “There is more than one realistic solution”, states Uwe Ringel. ‘You just have to want!’.

For the Greens, it is important that this report does not disappear into the drawers, but is actively addressed. “Without persistent pressure, we will not achieve anything”.

The cities of Hanau, Bruchköbel, Erlensee and Nidderau, together with the Main-Kinzig roundabout (KVG) and under the auspices of the Hanau-Gelnhausen-Schlüchtern Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK), commissioned Koblenzer BPV Consult GmbH with an expert report to examine whether improvements could be made to local transport on the Hanau-Friedberg railway.

Press contact:

Klaus Linek

Telephone: 06181 57 82 006

Mobile: 0151 2077 0075

– Incomprehension of allegedly ‘unrealistic’ connection to Frankfurt The Greens in Bruchköbel welcome the opinion on the potential for improvement for local transport on the Hanau-Friedberg railway. “With this, our railroad is finally moving [...]

[4
14,16,15
post-1383","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-newsortsverbaende","tag-bahn","tag-laendlicher-raum","tag-oepnv
["GET
