As part of the district members' meeting in Wächtersbach, there was a personnel change on the board of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen in the Main-Kinzig district. After the resignation of the previous district board spokeswoman Anja Zeller as a result of the ousting of Hanau, Marie Wöller from Freigericht was elected as a new member of the district board.
The district association would like to thank Anja Zeller for her great commitment and her important contribution to the political shaping of our region in recent years. Your tireless commitment to sustainable and socially just mobility in the Main-Kinzig district will remain in our best memories. In the future, Anja Zeller will be increasingly involved in her hometown of Hanau, where she is already working as deputy head of the local advisory board in the city centre and will be a member of the Green Hanau faction in the future.
With the election of Marie Wöller from Freigericht, the district association is counting on new impetus for the current term of office. The 34-year-old brings in-depth expertise for political work: After completing her master's degree in political science at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, she has been working in corporate communications for several years. Their political commitment stems from the conviction that they must actively strengthen democracy, especially in challenging times. In doing so, it places decisive emphasis on feminist perspectives and on the consistent implementation of sustainability at the municipal level.
The entire district board looks forward to constructive cooperation with Marie Wöller in order to decisively address the upcoming challenges – from climate adaptation to the regional mobility transition – and to work together for a liveable Main-Kinzig district.
