A new impetus for local politics: Greens want to found a local association in Jossgrund & Flörsbachtal

A Green Local Association in Jossgrund and Flörsbachtal is in the starting blocks. For this reason, the Kreisverband Bündnis 90/Die Grünen Main Kinzig is organising an information event in the Jossgrund on 7 May 2025, which is aimed at all interested citizens from the Jossgrund and Flörsbachtal. It starts at 18:30 at Beilsteinstadl (Südmährer Weg 1, Lettgenbrunn). "We are delighted that Matthias Wagner, the leader of the Green Group in the Hessian Parliament, will join us," said Philip Schinkel, member of the Greens' district board. Viola Haßdenteufel, vice-president of the Greens parliamentary group, will also be present.

The focus of the evening will be on direct exchange with citizens and the prospect of establishing a joint local association Jossgrund/Flörsbachtal. "We want to motivate people who want to play an active role in shaping their community," said Schinkel. The coordinator on site, Lene Jeckel from Jossgrund, added: "Our goal is to have our own list in the next local elections - open to anyone who wants to commit to sustainable and sustainable local politics."

"The decisions that directly affect our daily lives are made at the municipal level in particular", emphasises Jakob Mähler, leader of the Green Group in the district council. "That's why we want to encourage people to get involved – with their ideas, their criticism, but above all with the will to make a difference together."

The event is open to all interested parties and is aimed in particular at people who are interested in green politics. Registration is not required.
