On 29 August 2025, the local association Bündnis 90/Die Grünen Jossgrund was officially founded in BeilsteinStadl (Jossgrund). With the election of the Board of Directors – Lene Jeckel, Jörg Sprenger and Silke von Rahden – the new association sets clear accents for a future-oriented, ecological and social local policy in the region.
“We have joined forces because we are convinced: Climate action, community and democracy must be lived on the ground", explains Lene Jeckel, spokeswoman for the newly elected board. “Our motto “Of course with each other” stands for just that – for a respectful relationship with each other and with our nature, which forms the basis for a future worth living in.”
The founding event was supported by Tarek Al-Wazir, Member of the Bundestag for the constituency, with a greeting. An information event in May 2025 had already aroused great interest among citizens who want to work for a sustainable design of their homeland.
The OV Jossgrund/Flörsbachtal invites all interested parties to participate - whether through membership, project work or the exchange of local challenges. Contact and further information are available via the divisions of the district association Main-Kinzig.
