In Brachttal, a new local association is founded and directly establishes the list for the local elections in 2026
Last weekend, the new local association of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen was founded in Brachttal. This means that there is now a permanent point of contact in Brachttal for all those who want to work for environmental and climate protection, social justice and a vibrant democracy.
Dr. Anna Leo and Matthias Kuponiyi-Böff were elected as equal double leaders. Jasmin Schierding takes over the office of cashier. Herbert Fischer and Julian Fischer will join the Executive Board as assessors.
"We want to shape politics close to people – openly, constructively and with the joy of participating," said Dr Anna Leo. Matthias Kuponiyi-Böff added: "Brachttal has great potential if we tackle it together. We welcome everyone who wants to get involved – with ideas, commitment or simply an interest in exchange.”
In addition to the founding of the local association, the 16-member list for the local elections in March 2026 was also drawn up. This list includes members of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen as well as non-party citizens.
The list brings together people from previous parties and associations with committed newcomers who want to take on local political responsibility for the first time – right up to the cornerstones of local politics, who bring their many years of experience to bear.
The district board of BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN Main-Kinzig expressly welcomes the development:
“We are proud that, after Jossgrund, we have now been able to found the second local association in the eastern Main-Kinzig district, which will also run for the upcoming local elections. This shows that green policy in the region continues to grow and gain strength. We wish the new local association all the best and much success for the upcoming tasks", said the spokespersons of the district association. Anja Zeller and Philip Schinkel.
The local association plans in the coming weeks first meetings and actions to get into conversation with the citizens.
