"After the outcome of the planned project of Kreissparkasse Gelnhausen, we expect answers from the district", says Reiner Bousonville, Group Chairman of the Greens Main-Kinzig. For this reason, the Group has registered a current hour for next Friday's district meeting.

‘The Main-Kinzig-Kreis wanted to merge its branch offices in the new building there and was one of the possible main tenants supporting the project.’ In the press, Landrat Thorsten Stolz, at the same time chairman of the board of directors and former mayor in Gelnhausen, did not want to answer the question whether he was informed of this decision in advance: "We expect concrete answers here as to whether the Chairman of the Board of Management of the Kreissparkasse, Horst Wanik, informed the Landrat before the Board of Directors and the City of Gelnhausen of his decision and whether the Landrat knew about the Sparkasse press release and approved it," said Bousonville.

In the press release published by Sparkasse regarding the Aus der Joh plans, all political representatives in Gelnhausen were blamed for the failure: ‘Therefore, the Landrat must declare whether it has been informed of the wording and content. If so, why did he not take any active steps against a financial institution supported by the Main-Kinzig-Kreis publishing a fire letter against political leaders?’

The Landrat has stated in the press that it does not have a ‘Plan B’. "We therefore consider the planning to be completed at first and would like to know what costs the Main-Kinzig district has already incurred," said the Group President. ‘The role of the Landrat in this constellation is at least of concern. As mayor in Gelnhausen, he was also responsible for the failure of a city outlet at the time, as a later district administrator he offered the Kreissparkasse to accommodate parts of the administration as the main tenant in a new building on the same site. The Main-Kinzig district's offer then landed with pride again, as he is chairman of the board of directors of the Kreissparkasse.’ This raises the question of ‘how far the district councillor is responsible for the failure of the plans. We would like to have answered this question in the current hour", Bousonville concluded.
