Our May 1 bike tour leads through three district associations, two federal states and over a river, to which we invite you together with the KV Aschaffenburg/Land and Offenbach/Land.
Meeting point is at Wednesday, May 1, at 11 a.m. at the station in Kahl. Departure around 11.15 a.m.
On the way from Kahler Bahnhof, the barrier-free expansion of which many commuters have wanted for decades, sections of the European Cultural Route lead to a new connection between Kahlaue and Kahler Ortskern. This originally Green idea finally found majorities and has been implemented for a few months now. From there we cycle along the Kahl to its mouth in the Main, where we reach the lowest point of Bavaria.
Up the Main we continue to Großkrotzenburg, turn off to Kreuzburggymnasium and make a short detour to the Hanauer Wald to get to know the nature reserve Schifflache in the ‘Grüner Ring um Hanau’.
Then it goes through the Großkrotzenburger village center to the Mainschleuse. The Greens in GKr and Hainburg have long been committed to barrier-free ramps to the lock bridge. In Hainburg at the ice cream shop Henss we want to end the tour with an ice cream.
On the way there will be plenty of space for exchange and information. We are looking forward to many fellow cyclists!
