Amendment to the budget: More funding for the agricultural learning field

The district council shall decide:           

1.       The budget earmarked for the ‘Agriculture Learning Field’ will be increased by EUR 20,000.

2.       The district committee is tasked with raising awareness of the ‘Agriculture Learning Field’ project through a publicity campaign. For this purpose, the schools in the district area should be targeted.

Explanatory memorandum:

The Learning Field Agriculture project ensures that school groups and pre-school groups gain insights into the production of their food. This nutritional education is important from an early age in order to gain awareness of the production of food and the work behind it.

In particular, an awareness of regional and high-quality food is created here, which is no longer or only marginally present in more and more children and adolescents.

The budget earmarked for this purpose is insufficient. In addition to strengthening farms in the implementation of the project, the increase in the budget should also create opportunities for a publicity campaign to raise awareness of the project.
