Grüne Main-Kinzig inform themselves in Berlin's government district at the invitation of Omid Nouripour, Member of the Bundestag, Federal Executive Board Bündnis 90/Die Grünen. The meeting with Nouripour focused on the Greens' stance on international conflicts. There was talk of further measures to support the Ukrainian people against the Russian war of aggression in violation of international law. In order to accommodate local forces and other refugees from Afghanistan, Nouripour promised an early package of measures. In support of women in Iran, where human and women's rights are disregarded by the terror regime and protests are brutally crushed, the Greens announced a resolution for more and tangible help for the Federal Party Congress.

In addition to the Reichstag building, the group of Greens from the Main-Kinzig district visited a number of memorials that commemorate the horrors of the Nazi regime and the GDR illegal state. In the German Resistance Memorial, the special exhibition ‘Silent Heroes’ draws attention in a moving way to the fates of persecuted Jews and those of their escape workers, and in the memorial to the murdered Jews in Europe to all those who could not escape the horrors of the Nazis. “These places show us all how important it is to stand firmly against anti-democratic and anti-human currents even today,” says Anja Zeller.
